Children's Health / Parent's Place

Washington County has an incentive program called “Parent’s Place” which is a modified version of the “Nest”, a successful national program.

In order to qualify for the program, a participant must:
    • Have a child under the age of three years
    • Meet WIC income guidelines
Families accumulate points for attendance at educational events, health appointments or other approved activities.  The program helps parents acquire the necessary skills to assure their child has a safe, healthy and nurturing environment. Points may be redeemed for such items as diapers, wipes and laundry detergent.  The Parent’s Place is open during Washington County WIC clinics. Click here for a full calendar.

For additional information or questions, please contact the program coordinator, Lori Hobscheidt at lhobscheit@washph.com or by calling 319-653-7758 or 800-655-7758.
