Mission Statement:
Promoting and protecting the health of Iowans. It is the philosophy of Washington
County Public Health & Home Care that all persons of the county shall be eligible
for the services available through the agency regardless of age, sex, religion,
race, creed, socioeconomic status or place of residence within the county boundaries.
Not only will skilled nursing, health supervision, and home-health aide service
be offered, but community clinics and screenings will be available at specific
times. Health education and teaching are important goals for the agency in striving
for a healthier environment. Provision of service shall be limited only by available
staff time and funding.
