Check out the flyer below for important information about symptoms, what to do if you think you or a loved one might have measles, and how to prevent its spread.

✅ Washington County Public Health has the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine available for those who would like it. Thanks to the State of Iowa, it's FREE for everyone—no matter your insurance status.

Measles is serious for people of all ages, but some groups are more likely to have complications with the virus:

- Pregnant women
- People with weakened immune system

Symptoms of measles will start around 7-14 days after being exposed. If you have symptoms of measles, CALL your healthcare provider immediately.
