First case of measles reported in Iowa

We want to share an update with you to keep you informed.

We now have our first case of measles in the state of Iowa.

There were no public exposures and are no threats to the public's health from this case.

This is a good reminder to check your vaccine status. The best way to protect yourself from measles is an MMR vaccine.

If you need help looking up your vaccine status, or would like to schedule an appointment with our vaccine clinic, please call 319-653-7758. Our office will be closed on Monday, 5/26/2025, for Memorial Day, but we will be happy to take your call Tuesday-Friday 8:00-4:30.
